History was written on 27th of March!

The aircraft of Swiss International Air Lines completed its first flight on the expected Košice-Zürich air route.  Airbus A220 with 134passengers on board (occupancy 98 %) took off from Zurich airport shortly before noon and at 13:40 local time already landed on the runway of Košice airport.137 passengers departed on the first flight from Košice to Zurich.

His Excellency the Ambassador of Switzerland to Slovakia Peter Nelson and the President of our Chamber PETER KNAP together with other representatives officially opened the new airline.

His Excellency Peter Nelson, Ambassador of Switzerland to Slovakia, said on this occasion:

"The introduction of a direct flight between Zurich and Košice by Swiss International Air Lines represents an important milestone in the relations between Switzerland and Slovakia. This connection strengthens the link between eastern Slovakia and the wider world. I am proud to witness this moment, which symbolizes the potential for further cooperation and friendship between our two countries."
